I’ve got a reputation for building drool-worthy websites that work. And by “work”, I mean allow you to build a community of raving fans, create your dream job, and finally live life on your own terms. My ideas may not be the traditional ones you’ve heard all your life, but you can bet they’re going to be game-changing.
Where LiteSites are customized pre-built websites, from-the-ground-up sites are designed and developed completely from scratch.
We start with a jamming session to get your ideas and mine all mixed up together, sketch out the content that will be most effective for your goals, build out a wireframe for the site’s architecture, design the main page and any additional page-types, code it all up into a test site, knock out the kinks and jitters, and launch hard.
Most of my clients need one of the following types of websites. If you need something different, get in touch, and I’ll give you a quote.
Content-driven site where the design is the same on the front page and sub-pages
In other words, a site like this one where the pages and sub-pages have the same design. (Imitation is the highest form of flattery, you know.)
- Jamming session
This is where you and I sit down and define what online success looks like for you. We’ll take all of your plans, ideas, and dreams, and we’ll turn them into something that is real and concrete. We’ll look at images and talk about what inspires you to do what you do. And we’ll figure out how to translate that to the world.
- Information architecture plan
This is where I come up with your site’s information structure. That means I jot down every piece of information that is going to be on your site, and then I figure out the best place for it. That way, your visitors can find what they need quickly without wanting to throw their keyboard at the screen. It also means that we put your most important stuff front and center so that they won’t miss it.
- Front page design
This is where I rock out your vision in the form of concepts and revisions. A total of three, in fact (for example, one concept with two revisions; two concepts with one revision). That’s usually enough for us to make it spot-on perfect. If not, you can purchase additional concepts or revisions.
- Ninja XHTML and CSS coding (with maybe a little jQuery thrown in)
On to the code! Of course I like this part, so I don’t actually envy you sitting back on your couch while I go do nerdy things. Your code is going to be clean, scalable, fully browser compliant, and well-documented (in case someone else needs to work with it later.) It’s all hand-written using the very best known techniques. And it will work for all who use it.
- Up to 15 content pages
You can always add pages later on if you like, but I’ll implement up to 15 pages of content into your design.
- Testing and bug-squashing
In which I get to say “I hate you, Internet Explorer!” And you get to sit happily by and chase butterflies. I’ll put all of your code into a test site so that we can squash, tweak, and modify before the site goes live to the world.
- Launch!
And here we are to my favorite part…launch day! We’ll already have poked and prodded and tested and re-tested, so there should be no surprises here. All you’ve got to do is spread the word.
- I want to hold your hand
You never know what’s going to pop up in the next couple of months, so I offer an hour of support that you can use in the next 60 days. You can use that time to learn more about WordPress (the system that we usually use that allows you to do most of your maintenance yourself) or to get help with some other issue that you’re having. Go wild.

Content-driven site where the front page is different from the sub-pages
Magazine-style sites are in this category (though I have my own, much more user-friendly take on that type of site). The home page still changes with your new content, but it serves as more of a portal to other sections of the site.

- Secondary page design
This is where I put together your secondary page design, based on the design of the home page. You’ll get up to two concepts and/or revisions on this design. You can purchase designs of additional page-types for more complex sites.

E-commerce site with a home page and up to 7 secondary page designs
If you’re going to sell something, you’ve got a few additional things going on. A shopping cart, a payment gateway, and different page-types that need to be designed (for example, your category page, your sub-category page, your log-in page, etc.)
