Farewell, office

Even though my office is in my house (or perhaps because of it), I’ve got to get away every now and again. I am going somewhere this weekend where I’ll be completely unreachable. There will be no internet, no computer. No store for miles and miles. What in the heck am I going to do?

I have no idea. But I know what I’m not going to do. Work. Talk about work. Think about work. Dream about work. (Actually, I doubt if I can stop the dreaming. But maybe.)

In the interest of full disclosure

With all of my “here’s how to make your website awesome”-ness, I forgot to warn you that there is a bit of a danger in pursuing your dreams. Once you get there, you may not ever want to take a vacation. You may start to wonder if there is anything more fulfilling than helping your people. You might forget that real life is also a good thing…because work life is so, so great.

Work/life balance? Who needs it. Now remind me how people once survived without the internet?

    Have a great time, Sarah!!

Ponder this–how did people ever manage without cell phones, the Internet, laptops, iPods, bottled water and social media? :)

    Happy Easter!

Thanks guys! We had a fantastic trip. Media-free except for the drive. ;) (Just a teensy bit of Twitter via text).
