I cannot WAIT for Adobe Photoshop CS4 to come out. I never hopped on the CS3 train…just couldn’t get excited about it. But CS4’s 3D imaging capabilities look mind-blowing. Take a look at CreativeTechs’ sneak peek at some of the new developments in CS4…way cool. I wonder if the software will come bundled with its very own pair of 3D glasses.

3D glasses, eh?
You know what feature I would like? The ability to make my own ViewMaster slides. That would be a dream come true.
The performance increases will be very, very welcome, but I don’t see anything new here. Content aware resizing has been around for a year or two. Panorama stitching and 3d modeling has already been done to death, and from this video, done better. It’s nice to incorporate it directly, but I have to wonder about the wisdom behind putting EVERYTHING into Photoshop. You know the old saying, “Jack of all trades, master of none…”
The configurator app has me excited, but again, it’s nothing new. Configurable toolbars have been around forever.
I don’t really see anything here that would entice me to upgrade from CS3.
Yeah, I’m very excited about the speed, if it lives up to my expectations. But you have to remember, I’m still in CS2. The integration between Photoshop and Illustrator is HORRENDOUS in my opinion, so that’s what I’m really looking forward to. I’m excited that their first two priorities are saving users time and integrating their products better.
Oh yeah…and I just want an excuse to wear 3D glasses.
